Dealer having tough time diagnosing Synchro Mode not working
 

Well, I caved in and decided to have the dealer take a stab at my non-functioning Synchro Mode. They’ve been working on it for 3 hours so far, haven’t figured out yet.

Mystery!

Did you hold the button down until the S started showing. You can't just mash it like an on and off button. You have to hold it down.

Yep, the longest I held was at least 10 seconds. I’ve tried many things before taking it in.

They’ve had it all day now, with no luck. I was at dealer for 4 hours, they gave me a free loaner because of the wait. Dealer is only charging me one hour of labor for diagnosis, originally quoted me $85.

Is the gear indicator blinking? or is it blank?

Blank.

Probably just needs a clutch netural position relearn done.

I passed this along to the dealer, they obviously don’t like advice from the forums, could hear the insult in his voice.

I’ll try myself.

Dealer can’t fix!
 

The dealer couldn’t fix, they say it’s the switch, the switch is brand new. Plus now my hvac goes from cold to blistering hot in one click. So upon reassembly, they didn’t plug something back in. Now I have to drive all the way back again. Plus my shift knob wasn’t screwed on, and my CD is gone from my head unit.

At this point I’m angry, very sloppy service! WTF!

Is there a link you could point me too? I’m back to working on it myself.
