I'd say wait until it cracks and becomes a distraction, as this will not be the last chip you receive. Then replace it quickly. I've always heard that replacement glass

I've always heard that replacement glass is even thinner than OEM, but I have always had better luck with replacement glass. So, who knows? Maybe my driving improves after being hit with the replacement cost of windshields. I dunno. I drive 80mph+ every day, though, thus increasing my odds of cracking my glass. It's part of ownership and freeway driving, I think.
