This is the first car I've owned that didn't get an exhaust as the first mod. I've also started shaking my fist at the youngin's with pops and bangs that like to unnecessarily rev up and down, over and over while driving down my street...

I know what you mean!, I removed my Ark Performance catback exhaust to re-install OEM mid pipe with AAM S-line muffler (slightly louder than stock). I couldn’t handle the drone any longer. But, at least I’m not back to 100% stock…..lol.
But I’m not sure it’s an age thing. It’s more a question of experience and taste. I know a lot of younger car enthusiasts that go to quieter exhausts after they get the drone, pops, bangs out of their systems and look for a more mature sound.

Took off my Greddy Dual Exhaust and put on a HKS HI Power...It's so nice to listen to the radio at a normal volume again!! Over 40 years old Z owners unite!!! LOL

Thanks for all the responses. 40 Years ago I would have loved the sound, now i just want to listen to the radio and maybe the wife at 70 MPH, not the exhaust.

I could understand you wanting to listen to the radio, but the wife?
