Jim Russo: I do not gaive price online or over the phone. I will be happy to give you the MSRP

Me: Hi, I test drove one of your Zs a couple of months ago and want to buy the Brilliant Silver one you have on your lot. I'll give you $34,900 for it (sport, touring, splash guards, f+r mats, VIN etch).

Sales Manager: I can't sell it to you for that price.

Me: OK, no problem. Take care.

<10 seconds go by, my phone rings>

Sales Manager: OK, I'll sell it to you.

Me: Great! I'll be down in one hour with a check.

Just to be fair, I have actually found dealerships that refuse to give an internet quote. They want to "show" you the vehicle at the dealership.

That's fine, but many people have already driven or looked at the vehicle extensively and just want a price, not to be d*cked around by a car salesman.

I know. Any time I am car shopping I am certain I already know a million times more about the car than any salesman would ever know, so I don't even want to deal with them. Although I do have to schedule a test drive for anything I would be interested in, the salesman are more or less a complete waste of my time.
