after a lapse of 30 years I am getting back into making model cars , restarting with MY 350Z AND 370Z . .

well that's a lie both JDM so be Fairlady's

any one else playing with plastic
I was a member of the local IPMS years ago

1st 2 pics are unpainted body,, further on its in undercoat ..
Z34 wheels are for my 370z build for my 40th thats 6 coats, so far will wait 12 hours or so then give it more . .using Tamiya clear smoke over chrome

nice dude. I have a closet FULL of unmade model cars...still on my to do list after 15 years.

Was gifted a completed 1/24 F40 when I was a single digit yr old, sadly I was too young to appreciate it….around the same time, also got about half way through a 635csi but never finished it….sigh.

I do collect various 911’s, GTR’s, NSX and Z in 1/64 scale, resin and die cast.

Im happy with the colour of the wheels now . .Like 10 coats of clear smoke over the chrome

Matt Red for seats and door incert's , and semi gloss Black

350Z body needed a sand as it showed some casting lines after it was undercoated .

I'm using a airbrush for most painting

The 350Z model is also on 19" rims

350z turned out alright so far, now to leave it sit to harden fully .

took about 4 coats of paint, 2 of clear , 2 airbrush pots of thinner ..

will start the 370z paint job next

The 350z is the basic Tamiya one, and the 19" wheels are from a different kitset..

Looks way better on my model than my real car .. .I feel a repaint in order .. Is it ok to post pic's of other nissans as I did a full repaint on a R32 coupe for my son years ago.,,/ R32 GTS=T coupe . .did the whole car in Orange ,, , ,Same as General Lee Dukes of Hazzard . .LOL Turned out mean as . .Brought the car smashed . fixed it repainted it didn't finish it ,, sold it for 20k
Had fiberglass GTR guards and bonnet and 400R front bumper

The paint job on the model looks like my old C110 coupe I repainted with loads of metallic flake , I added 1 liter of base hard Couse base metallic to the paint I had . . Turned out my custom mix 100% matched under my door panels . as car had been repainted before

Since most of you guys are USA based , heres a pic of my last USA car ,. ^5 model . 460 , C6 9 inch . .850 holley . ....

Handled like a aircraft carrier

and a sharky and hutch wagon with 351 ..

I dont like usa cars , ,and Im glad i brought my 370Z as was looking at mustangs . . .100% glad I did nt buy usa made
