question regarding turbo kit and installation time.

Hi,

I've been driving my 370 for a good 2 years now and I feel like it's time for something more.
I would love to go with a single turbo setup considering the Z will no longer be my daily vehicle.

My issue is that I live in Belgium and that anything tuning related is illegal here which sucks bigtime.
We have yearly inspections on the car and obviously I wouldn't pass with the turbo kit installed.

How realistic is it to take off the turbo kit once a year and rebuild it if possible at all cause that would be my only option to run a turbo as far as I know.

Thanks in advance for your awnsers. :)

To me. It wouldn't be worth the hassle of installing, then removing and then installing the kit every year. That's a lot of work. The inlet side, the exhaust side, and then the fuel system mods. There are mods made to the fuel pump in the tank that you can't undo unless you have another stock unit to replace it.

While that's true, wouldn't it be possible the run like an NA tune in one of the ECUtek mappings.
So even though there's a bigger fuel pump and injectors it could still run NA, no?
The SOHO stage 1 kit seems very much like something the would fit what I want.

For inspection. Do they check for emissions too?

When you say tuning related, do you mean you are not aloud to modify car at all? If so, yes that does suck big time!

Or do you mean only emissions testing?
If you just need to pass emissions, then you shouldn't have a problem passing with high performance and expensive cat converters. I passed my twin turbo running 8psi, without de-tuning the ECU at all, using just GESi HO GEN2 EURO5+ grade sports cat converters, but only just passed according to the operator performing the emissions test. I live in Australia, South Australia and our emissions standards are pretty strict.
