Ask to see the old filter when they're done as proof they changed it. No mark, no change. |

Unless you plan on draining your oil on the ground with nothing to catch it, you'll need to lift the car some. You can however, get your arm under there with a big fat marker or a file and mark the filter in some way. My comment was for marking the filter to ensure that it was changed. |

Telling people that "You don't need ester oil" when that's what's in the car from the start. is going off base, you could of mentioned that you can use other similar oils like xyz. I have used ester oil and continue to use like many in here! |

Dude.....that last picture of your oil, I can see through that oil. That is NOT dark by any means. Dark means black and opague. That's red and semi-transparent. That looks like your oil was changed but they may have left the old oil filter on. Last edited by ZKindaGuy; 01-24-2010 at 03:49 PM. |

I forgot their service department is closed on Sundays. I'll have to call them during my lunch break tomorrow and stop by after work. I'll keep you guys posted. I'm curious what they'll say. I really hope things go smoothly, and that they don't try to treat my like an idiot...I will be quite furious.
