This has me thinking... I have no problem locally getting 93 octane, but let’s say I’m out of town and all they have is 91 octane? Never really thought about it since I rarely travel far with her.

No problem. It won't make the same power. Timing will be pulled some.

The difference between 93 and 91 isn't all that much for a DD. The ECM will pull some timing and you will lose a little power but you shouldn't do any damage as long as you drive carefully. Keep your toenails out of the radiator until you can get the octane back up.

Personally, I'd use octane booster only if I got some very low octane (say >= 4 ratings less). Keep in mind that the octane boost printed on the bottle is usually in "points" not octane numbers - it's gonna take a lot of booster to make much of a difference.

I had Seb give me 91 and 93 maps when I was N/A. Probably do the same with FI

The STP stuff has an insane # of points and one bottle will kick a full tank up from 91 to 93. But it ain't cheap

Back in the day. We used to use tolulene as a octane booster. Worked with my 572 cu in, 14 to 1 Mopar motor.

Rebuilt the one motor in my '78 TransAm. Got everything in, hooked up and running. Motor runs great. Couldn't figure out why the windshield washer reservoir keeps going dry. First time to use the washers. They don't work. Found out when we put the hood back on. Someone plugged the washer hose to a port at the base of the carb.
