I would say see if you can call to have someone pick you up and leave the Z, if you are ok leaving it where it is. It would be better to ask a friend for a ride then risk you and your Z.

I wouldn't risk it if there's an inch or more of snow. If there is no traffic or big hills you may make it. I've driven in about 3 inches of snow with all season tires and without traffic, in my 350z. But I kept sliding with stop and go traffic.

I do not recommend driving the Z on snow with sports pack rims. I made similar mistake last year and I almost lost the Z (did a 180 on a busy road )
Do you have public transportation close where you work?

Good luck...

almost any snow at all and the thing can really get loose. I was driving it a couple of weeks ago in Northern VA after a relatively small snow storm - there was still about 1/4 of snow in a cul-de-sac that i went to turn around in and kept sliding all over the place. I wasn't going faster than 5 mph, but you can imagine the trouble with driving in worse conditions.

Probably cheaper than messing the Z!

Will they let you crash at the station until things clear up? It might not be alot of fun, but crashing your car is alot worse. Good luck with everything, and stay safe on your shift!

Ouch. I don't have any experience driving a 370Z in snow, but it can't be that much different from driving my 240SX in the same situation. I would just leave it and find another way home or wait it out. Both choices do not include driving your RWD baby. You may be an excellent driver, but you should be more worried about the other folks (I usually use other words to describe them) on the road. Good luck.

Rob

If you cannot afford any Blizzacks then I would buy two 60-lb sand tubes from the Home Depot and put them in the trunk This saved the 350Z I once owned. Once I purchased the 4 Blizzacks all-snow tire I didn't need the sand tubes any more.

My 370Z is a garage queen and I now drive a 1999 Grand Am beater as my 240 mile round-trip / day work commuter. Even with it I bought 4 all-snow tires so that I don't end up losing the beater and having to drive the 370Z. It never seems to end doesn't it?
