Best place to buy brake pads?

I have never ordered pads online before, so I was wondering what sites you guys recommend. I need to order replacement Akebono pads for the Z and some new pads for my gf's CLK 500 as well.

I use these guys all the time for my racecar brake needs. They support racing series, and have good prices. I have always found coupons as well (8-10%off).

buybrakes.com

No affiliation.

I've usually gone through Tire Rack.

Will give those places a shot.

Im assuming you're not looking for OEM pads, right, duder? Get some Hawks at least, IMHO.

Bought a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads from Z-1 Performance Automotive Services Inc., ss brake lines from Stilllen.

Street pads. I see no track use in the immediate future so that's all I need. I will probably give the Hawk HPS a go.

Yeah, thats what I meant - the Hawk street pads.

Yeah, I think the stockers are fine. Wonder how these will compare.

m4a1mustang 01-23-2010 12:33 PM

Thanks to Josh @ Stillen. I am going to try the Hawk HPS.

I may hit the track later this year so after another 15k miles on these pads I will probably do rotors, ss lines, and a pad up for some light track use.
