Really they only do that when I'm in my Camry

Which ones?

And z34drifty, That's because they know camerys are slow. They do it to me cause I'm young, and they do it to old people to see if their teeth fall out when they're yelling at out the window at them.

I can think of a million and a 1/2 reasons why jerks do that.

The only issues I have with semi trucks here is that they merge over without looking often. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was to have power on demand!

(it isn't like a car is going to pop out of the rear of your car... ) That is- they have them aimed at the rear corners of the car like that is an area that one can't see from the .... oh I dunno.... REAR view mirror. If you use your side view mirrors and angle them towards the side of the vehicle, you will eliminate this. I will try to give you an idea of how I have my mirrors set up.
- My rear view mirror shows me everything that is behind my car.
- As something passes out of the field of my rear view mirror, it passes into the field of the side view mirrors.
- As something passes out of the field of the side view mirrors, it passes into my personal field of peripheral vision. In my opinion, you should NOT be able to see the side of your car in your side view mirror. If you can, you are not utilizing your mirrors fully. Why look at the side of your own car as you are traveling when it benefits much more to look at what is adjacent to you?
For most people, this may seem odd, but I found that setting up my mirrors like that effectively removed the blind spot from my vehicle.
I usually have my side view mirrors set up so I can JUST see the side of the vehicle - that gives a good reference as to exactly where the other vehicle is while maximizing the viewing area of the mirror.

Besides what's the deal with dome mirrors - you just need pipes loud enough that everyone backs off ;P

Autozone has these for cheaper. (Like $1.90) I couldn't find the exact ones I had, but I also got mine back in 2004.

Also, mine were 2 inch, not 3. The 2 inch was MORE than enough. 3 is a bit big.

Great idea. I will do that. Thanks for the tip.

Then when you decide where it suits you the best, you can remove the permanent backing and apply.

Thats why invest in a bucket ride and I am sure you will have no problems changing lanes.
It's true what you say. I knew someone that lived their for a while and when I went to visit him the way he drove all I can say like "F***ing maniac". He said when you get cut off for the 100th time you learn how to adapt. Literally he was weaving in and out, cutting people off. You have to drive a little crazy in LA, but make sure you dont run into the crazy people with guns.

bump - I noticed that this is pretty big issue with the 370z. So most of us are using convex mirrors? LaneFX sounds promising.

I've had one of these on all of my cars for about 12 years now.
Lanechanger: LaneChanger I

(the pic is terrible, they don't look that crooked).

I swear by this product, like $7 at PepBoys/AutoZone (a long time ago). Basically this gives you full rear 180 degree view. I dont use any of my other mirrors any more. One glance in this mirror and you can see everything that is going on behind you up and to your peripheral field of vision.

PS: This image shows off what I mean quite well:
http://www.lanechanger.com/images/mirror_028_web.jpg

I havent gotten my hands on the 370Z yet (three more days) and I plan on putting one of these on, immediately. Hope it works, considering how big the C-pillar is in the car, and how small the quarter windows are, not to mention how little visibility there is out of the rear window.
