Greetings all.
What about listing all of the goodies Nissan has put into the 370 that differentiates us from the ‘regular’ cars on the road? I just found out the drive shaft is carbon fiber. There is also continuous valve timing, double wish-bone suspension, etc.

Carbon drive shaft was also on the 350z im not sure think it was for the 07-08 vq35hr, yes high quality parts the Z is a very underrated sports car with high quality components

1. Front subframe, Hood, doors and hatch are aluminium
2. Brembo style brakes on sport trim (this comes handy on the track for quick pads swap)
3. First in the world? Syncro shift for 6spd manual tranny
4. 6spd manual tranny (hello mk5 Supra)
5. LSD diff on sport trim
6. Yamaha body dampers on Nismo model
7. Forged aluminium Rays Engineering wheels on sport and nismo
8. Factory front, rear and midbody strut bars

Overall Nissan used lots of aluminium on 370z to make it lighter.

Why do we need bragging rights? Do your thang and let everyone else do what they do.

For the record, the drive shaft is a carbon-fiber composite. It's nothing special and not worth bragging about...

Yes, but it sounds more impressive than just saying steel.

Not really

And bragging about driveshaft material is stupid unless you have a true carbon fiber one.

This car had double wishbone suspension in 1985

Variable valve timing in 2000:

our driveshafts aren't pure carbon fiber, it's carbon composite. That means its partially plastic. The 350Z base models had it, this isn't really new or that special

Only thing to "brag" about is running up that "last of a dying breed" narrative of analog car. But something like a Cayman is a more prime example.

That's not to say this car is something to talk down, but as with anything, it's a preference. For the money some of us could've gotten Camurstangs with more motor and more modern interiors. And then there's people who paid similar money for a Civic Type R, or an 86.
