Exclamation Problem with tight turn???

Hello all,
Is it just my car or when you turn very tightly at slow speed, do you feel like the wheels are fighting against each other to follow the external and internal turn radius??

I don’t know how to explain this clearly but when my steering wheel is completely left or right, I sometimes feel that the wheel are slipping on the pavement. It makes the car do erratic movements and I simply hope that it’s not something loose in the steering geometry.

Thanks for the feedback!

Mine does the same thing, probably just the tires or the turning angle combined with the amount of torque...means they probably are slipping just a bit. I'm not 100% sure why the car does this so those are my two guesses. Either way, it's nothing to worry about.

I really like the handling on the 370z compared to the 350z... As all suspension and steering geometry are all about compromise, maybe that's one of the side effect of the new 370z shorter wheel base and new suspension geometry...

Anyone else having the same behaviour?

Happens on my Z too. And I've driven other car models that do the same thing (including my truck).

Odd noise/stuttering from front tires when turning hard

I too have been having a problem with tight turns like when pulling out of a parking spot. However instead of a slipping feeling there is an actual bounce in the steering wheel and a clunking sound that sounds like it comes from the front tires. This happens 4 or 5 times as I pull out in reverse but doesn't start until I have fully cut the wheel. Does anyone have any ideas of what this may be? I am definitely taking it to the dealer this weekend.

Check highlighted link in previous post. We've covered this. There's absolutely nothing wrong. No need to take it in for that.

Don't take it to the dealer.

This happens with the summer tires. The RE050As are not intended to operate below 40*F. The soft compound hardens dramatically in cold weather and the tires effectively turn into hockey pucks. When you turn the wheel significantly (i.e. pulling in or out of a parking space), the front tires literally skip over the surface. That's where the noise is coming from.

Gosh Mustang, still I just hate the color of your car. I've said it before and will say it again.
