Gates using Chinese bearings?
 
Hey Forum,

Wanted to see if anyone ran into this. I was finishing up the Topgunz A-A install and while i added the TBatt idler pulley mod, figured I replace my OEM idler pulley. I always check the bearings to make sure they are from NPN/NSK. Gates are made in Canada and normally sources bearings from NPN (Japanese company).

Turns out... the 3606 pulley i got had a no name Chinese bearing! I immediately returned it and demanded another one, which had the NPN. Did some searching. This has been happening for some time now.
