Why was my thread moved?
 

Why was my thread, "New Member fron NYC", in the General Discussion Forum moved? I described my automotive history and my desire to purchase a new 370Z Sport. After a few comments from other members and a few replies from me, the thread was moved. Where was the thread moved to? What am I missing about the etiquette of this forum, that I did not experience in other forums I have been participating in for decades for Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaro's, Shelby GT500's, Powerboats and watches?

I didn't realize it was moved and have no idea why.

Because the section it belongs in is "new members" not "general discussion". "New members" is were new members introduce themselves. Isn't that what you were doing, introducing yourself?

It got moved because most mods on small forums feel pretty good when they are able to call you out on specifics. Taking into account that the 1st page of the general discussion section goes back almost 2 weeks, it obviously isn't really a problem. But they would rather move your thread into one of the other 30 subsections that no one really reads.

Speak for yourself. I read those other 30 subsections daily :gtfo2:

There is also the choice to look at all new posts, despite where they reside it will still serve them up for viewing.

FB groups are more your scene.

Trips will leave the post there for a few days before moving it to the right section. Trips is pretty good about things. :tup:

is there a way to move the kind of members who does post some non-sense to a space where nobody can see them? :icon18:
