I try to be as careful as possible and yet I have a scrape, a few nicks, and a curbed wheel. The worst part about it is that I want to fix every little thing that's wrong with the car and it costs me a fortune. I'm almost coming to the realization that no matter how hard I try, something will always happen to my cars. Sorry for the rant, but I really needed to vent, lol.
If you expect to keep it perfect then you are going to have to make the car a garage queen. And you also better buy a beater if you keep the 370Z as a garage queen.

And then you also better get used to making car payments on something you can only look at and not leave the garage with. And then you better be prepared to listen to the wife complaining about paying all that money for something that you cannot use or enjoy because it has to be confined to the garage all the time.

Or you can very simply just get a life and get over your neurosis...

i too can't understand why someone would want to keep their car looking fairly fresh

While it is normal for this sort of stuff to happen, it does suck. One thing to consider is that while you will notice every tiny little ding and scratch chances are no one else will unless you point it out.

What we notice, other people over look! But to be honest, it only bothers us!
