This is it. Make or break. Look at how Hyundai is killing the game with their cars and Genesis brand. On top of that competition has become tough. With a new CEO, they need to focus on their entire line up.
Let's see where this goes, I hope what is said gets done. As my father always use to say, don't look at what someone says, look at what they do.

And better QC and quality is key too. Nissan is at bottom compare to the other japan automakers.
They really need to step up and at least hang with Honda, Toyota and even Subaru Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

When he said sedans I'm thinking 4 door cars.
Say good bye to the 370z and possibly the gtr. I wont be suprised they cut those brands. Since they are low volume cars and plus they haven't updated it over 10yrs Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

Problem Nissan have. Apart from the GTR and the Z, their cars are dull. The Leaf would be a good car but everyone for that market aspires for a Tesla
The X-Trail started off as the best off roader in it’s segment, what happened to it? What happened to the Nissan that introduced the 120Y, the 240z and the Skyline GTR? Did the French have too much influence? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They're trapped in a pretty bad place.
The Nissan brand has nothing to it. Nothing fresh, nothing exciting, nothing compelling. No one's even going to the dealership to look at whats there. Flashy new sports cars dont sell, but they do get eyes on a brand. Unfortunately they're also hideously cost INEFFECTIVE. Right now, Nissan sells FOUR different sedans that range from $14k -$34k. Versa, Sentra, Maxima, Altima. Can anyone explain why the hell they need four entries in the most boring segment? They also have four SUV/Crossovers: Kicks, Rogue, Pathfinder, and Armada. Again, why? Cut the lineup down! They also need to figure out a hook thats going to differentiate the from everyone else. Remember when Subaru stood out as offering AWD and appealing to the outdoors market + rallycar fan? Volvo built a rep for legendary safety? Saab built its rep for being as nondescript as possible, perfect for a dentist? We all know what Nissan needs to build: Sell it under Nissan as a 510, with rwd and a small turbo Sell it under Mitsubishi as an EVO, with awd and a hatchback Sell it under Infiniti as an M2 killer, with 4 drs

Nissan, and other auto companies, will always have an audience and market share. They will listen to the consumer, but only to a certain degree in the sense that they will rely on factual figures and respond accordingly, but beyond that, it's more of a "this-is-what-we-offer-therefore-take-it-or-leave-it" mentality. The 370Z is living proof - a 10+ year old design car where people are griping about a replacement, but that has yet to happen.
As far as the new Nissan CEO, he and his management team will be under heavy scrutiny, given the current state of Nissan from what his predecessor has/has not done. I'm sure there will be many drastic changes, however, at this time, I think such changes to the actual cars are put on the backburner.

And SAAB then started remanufacturing GM junk. That’s why SAAB are no more and why the European arm of GM is now owned by Peugeot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m not too concerned with the new stuff coming out; just gonna build my Z34 & be happy with it
Parts are plentiful & in my state, it’s definitely cheaper to build a HotRod vs Buying one off the shelf Property taxes & insurance is the main BuzzKill

And in regards to taxes, I don’t understand how people afford to live when paying state AND federal taxes, as well as a yearly assessed value property tax on their vehicles. Two things I will miss about FL: no state income tax and none of that BS assessed value tax on my car.
