Intake Manifold for NA Applications
I've been searching for an Intake Manifold that would do well on a NA application. I see that most of these if not all aftermarket Manifolds are for FI purposes. Been reading about AAM and how horrible everyone's experience was at first when they launched 4 years ago. Was wondering if anyone has installed the AAM Intake Manifold on a NA setup and seen results on the dyno or in general. Was looking at the GTR conversion, expensive as balls but looking for power and it's obvious if I wanna make power I have no choice but to go FI. Kinda wanna see what power I can get out of my motor without boosting it. Any advice? Or is it FI or nothing :/

There isn't one. The stock manifold has proven itself over and over against a number of challengers.
Basically, the aftermarket manifolds are not worth the money for NA. The power gains are minimal (or negative). You'll need a lot more modifications to gain anything of note. But by the time you get there, you might as well have considered a basic SC or turbo kit. |

that's a good thing tho - nissan already included the best possible manifold, at no extra charge! |
You could always order one of the motordyne manifolds or on of the z1 manifolds.

I have no plans to go FI, so I decided on a Motordyne M370. Combined with my other mods, I like the power and responsiveness its added.

Granted, the two dynos were on different days, but the only parts difference was ported upper and lower manifolds and retune. Peak power and torque wasn't much but that mid-range gain the real deal. |
