ook lol. I always forget what your name is on here.

I think I'm not going. I can afford 2 semi-local HPDE's if I don't go to Nashville.

Well...you can always wait until the 80th Anniversary and Mr. K might still be around (around 142 y/o depending on when exactly they hold the convention).

Seriously, I do understand the everyone has to make the decisions that's best for them when it comes to how/when/where they spend their money but HPDE's aren't difficult to find - 40th anniversary international conventions celebrating the Z don't come alone very often...that's my $0.02 to consider, anyway.

Agreed. And being that 3 hotels are sold out and the 4th one almost sold out, should tell you how big this even will be. You don't want to miss it. Sure I could do some HPDE's as well, but I can go to those anytime. You won't get another chance like this.

Bob stated that they were over 500. I know that the 40th is a huge one, but I just can't take the time off of work and definitely don't have the money to pay for it. I can put it on a CC of course, but my rough math will put the weekend just under $1,000 and that's a big deal for me right now. It sucks that I'll be missing it..

well it's not really one or the other. i'm just saying that going to ZCON will guarantee there will be no more HPDE's for a while. I honestly can't budget ZCON at all. I'm close enough to living off of ramen as it is...

I just got company approval and will fly in for the weekend to support the event. Can't wait till Saturday to see all the cars and hopefully get to meet some famous racers and others. Actually one of the original Designers of the 240Z will be there from Japan as well. I need to pick up some extra memory cards because of all the pics I'll be taking.

Should be a fantastic show especially considering its at Nissan's North America Headquarters and there wont be another 40th Z show so if you can, come to the show.

Sunday's trackday at the superspeedway should be fun also and since I won't have a Z there maybe someone could like me ride shotgun?

dont sweat the scatterd t-storms in the southeast, they are hit and miss and never last more than 20 minutes or so.

We've had scattered storms all week. Just yesterday the sky was clear here at home while it was pouring for 15 minutes 5 miles away. 10 minutes later the sun was shining again. Can't worry about it, but for everyone's sake, I hope it doesn't rain at all.
