Hatch Release Question

When you press the button in back to release the hatch should it release with one touch? I have to hold the button and open the hatch with my other

Default Hatch Release Question

When you press the button in back to release the hatch should it release with one touch? I have to hold the button and open the hatch with my other hand. I think my button is screwed up.

Many here have had that problem. It's the springs that pop the hatch when you release the latch with the button, they're too short.

Here's a thread:

Two fix options. Get the dealer to put in longer springs or invest $.04 for a quicker fix. I went with the $0.04 fix, works great

its either 4 cents or 6 cents, but either way, still extremely cheap. i think it may only be a temporary fix for now. I'd like to be able to pickup a set of the new springs for free.
