Not worried at all, it’s my daily driver and my bikes have always been on tenders. Was just posting what I heard.

I’m more concerned with the hockey puck tires once it gets under 40 degrees.

I've always put a piece of wood under the battery. Just out of habit. If you have a tile/coated floor. The wood will protect the floor. Also, it makes it easier to get your fingers under the battery when you pick it up.

I tilt my battery side to side at 90 degree angles for leverage to pick up. And to ensure the battery keeps discharging and not in stale mode while in storage, I connect the -/+ posts with the same cable. But that’s just me.
