Indexing window question

Question, not sure what year they started the auto window index feature. Probably for a while now. I own a 2019 Z and wonder if the battery would go completely dead "which I have happen in other newer type cars" How would you open the door to open the hood to charge or change out the battery. Could be a big problem with the door glass hitting the roof line edge. Anyone have any knowledge on this ? :eek:

I'd have to dig out the FSM to verify, but, IIRC, the door key is a mechanical connection to the latch. No power required. Easy enough to check.

Edit: Reread OP so never mind. Time to go to bed.
