Then I’d switch companies. They’re worried about a hurricane that won’t even so much as touch the east coast of Florida, while we’re on the west coast?

Looking at all these posts about insurance companies and that is crazy !!! Wont insure your new 2020 Z until the storm has past ? Insurance companies only care about their bottom line. They will be paying out lots of money even though this storm was not devastating to Florida. Many years ago I used to be loyal to insurance companies. Now I shop auto and home insurance every year for the best rate. Enjoy your 2020 Z and welcome to the forum.

And the car is already on your property? I'd switch insurance companies immediately! They can't deny additional coverage because of the threat of a hurricane. I mean I guess they can, but there is legal precedence that they would lose a suit in court. I would take this as evidence of their customer service; who knows what kind of crap they'll pull if you ever have to file a claim

Also, OP, not sure if you outright bought your car or financed, but if you financed your car, most lenders, if not all, require full coverage at all times until paid off. In the event of non-coverage, the lenders could deem you as being in default and could demand payment of full balance at once.

I agree. Your insurance company could put you in a serious bind if the lender decides to take action.

Congrat...
Always like the Z for some reasons. My PW 370z is my third. Also had an 280zx long ago. came close getting the 300zx a few times, but never happened. Couldn't decide between the Mark IV Supra. Quote:
