Zo let's say NOMO Z's

I like coming here to read about the Z, I also follow a few "guys" on youtube just to see what's going on and how much they abuse their cars and that gives me hope that my Z will last me a looong time. So I ask you, kids, if the Z is no longer produced by Nissan and there are no "new" things to talk about, will this Forum die down. Personally now retired and spending a lot of time in the gym and online I like coming here and interacting with those who don't find my topics boring. I hope "we" can remain here and exchange anything that can help one another because I know the new members will be buying used Z's and personally I can give my 2 cents and help them out with issues that I may have gone thru. :driving::tiphat:

Not if people keep starting pointless threads

Innovation for the platform has certainly slowed but it is still going on. And that innovation is at unprecedented levels - see Justin's build with the CJM intake manifold.

The forum will be around as long as the hosting fees are paid. If there are enough sponsors and members paying dues then it can be maintained without much additional effort.

I'm in for the long haul. I'll have my 370Z until the day I drop dead, which I hope won't be anytime soon. I'm also on a few 350Z and 300Z forums. They are much quieter, but still have posts from time to time. I see that happening here over time.

There are a number of us on here that of the Boomer generation so you are not alone. The forum will be what we make of it. Many of us have coming here for year and developed meaningful relationships and a community of support. Platforms com and go but the Z line of cars rocks on. There is constant development of mods for the 350 because it is a solid platform, cheap, good looking and makes decent power. The same is happening with 370 and it is better looking and makes more power. Its design is timeless as well imho. So here I will stay until the powers to be close up shop. I gladly pay my $20 a year to support the continuation of the forum.

I'll be around checking things out. Haven't participated much for awhile but pop in often. I have parts and need parts so I'll still be in. I'll stay connected with some of you guys even if we haven't seen each other for a while. As for the Z, the day will come when Nissan/Renault will say adios Z. You will be revived if and when the right time comes. The market for these types of cars is dwindling fast thanks to SUVs, Tesla's, Hybrids.

There's basically a Z for everyone.

I assume a lot of people here originally bought a used F-Body/Prelude/CRX/Integra or whatever that once-upon-a-time was a good car in their respective categories. There's going to be a generation of people buying Z's for doo-doo cheap.

People who bought it new got to live in the moment.

And there are older people who have the experience to come to the personal conclusion that this is the car for them.

When the day comes I'm in a position to get a new sports car, I would want to hold onto my Z. Could likely still afford it, but don't have the space. As much as we don't like the lack of update, and how retail now is a bit of a rip off, I think it's actually hard to part with. Used it's at a nice point of price and age, and it almost seems like selling it would be at a loss, especially if you invested in it.

There’s also folks who had a z (or 2, or 3+) that made friends and enjoy spending time here since there are some good folks on here. Very few vehicles create a lasting subculture within the car world (vette, Jeep, Miata, z, etc) this is one of them.

There’ll be more off topic discussions as time goes on vs on topic z threads but that’s fine with me.

I haven't had a Z in several years but I'm still hanging out here.
