LED Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel with RPM Lights Anyone?

I was looking into buying these but has anyone ever wired these up on their car? How would you supply power to the steering LED. 370Z-LED-Carbon-Fiber-Steering-Wheel-For (2) by [url=https://flic.kr/p/2gCxDWG" target="_blank">

That's certainly a lot of information. I'd just say be careful if it gets overwhelming.

I’ve seen these on a YouTube vid. Search for hoonigan 370Z and it’s 2 Z’s drifting at an abandoned mall. Cool concept IMO.

mmm.... looks high-tech and fancy, but I say it's not very practical, I wouldn't look at anything inside that tiny display when driving especially at 40mph+

No more practical than the red vertical rectangle on the nismo steering. Also shows revs of the car on the steering wheel. But I do think the number display is too small

I was thinking the same thing... between the tach and the readout on the steering wheel, there's appx ~500RPM difference. Wheel looks nice though, reminds me of the BMW M-Performance steering wheels. I'd possibly be tempted depending on price and if the wheel's readout could be corrected...

This steering wheel is using a wifi obd to read the rpm, which it is not going to match the exact rpms..the price is $1.3k. I bought mine for my 911 from a different seller

I know a guy that sells these for 800or so, and the flat bottom carbon steering wheels for about 500.

I must be missing something... what is the point of having that tiny screen in the steering wheel to show the rpm when there is a huge dial in the exact same field of vision? There is a reason that the tach is the largest gauge, and is front and center. Is there some usefulness to this that I can't see, or is it more along the lines of "omgwtf LEDs in my steering wheel!!11!"

Maybe so, but 500RPM is a lot to be off by. Not to mention, whenever I'm playing around with my RaceROM (I'm using the BT dongle to monitor on my tablet) the difference is barely noticeable.

I'm not knocking the product as it's something I could possibly see myself getting in the future, but I'd need more information. Who'd you purchase yours from and was it off by the same amount as well?

A tiny screen that provides inaccurate data = ricer

The LED lights.....it's cool if you have a really fast Z (FI'd, or if NA it better be on ultra short final drive ratio and max bolt-on).....otherwise it's pretty uncool having the LED lights climb up so slowly
