What type of fuel do you put in?
As my new Z nears the end of its first full tank, i was wondering what type of fuel should go in. I know that it says premium fuel only but is that really necessary? I just put in 87 for all my other cars. So what kind of fuel does everyone else use? What brand to? I only use Shell (because i live right next to one)

Premium 91 or 93. Some states don't have 93, I think.

93 octane.
shell/texaco/chevron. in that order usually, but i think these 3 all use the same gas.

We only have 91 here. Pretty sure that 91 at this elevation (about 4500 ft.) is equivilent to 93 at sea level as far as knock prevention and what not.
To the OP, your car was engineered to run on Premium. Don't give it any less

Use the maximum octane available in your area. Putting lower octane fuel in your 370Z will at best, result in less power, and at worse, can cause detonation and engine damage under heavy load.

It's a $30k+ sports car, pony up for the extra couple bucks for premium You can put in 87, but you won't be getting the performance that you paid for. The ecu will switch to it's ultra conservative timing map which in turn will lower power output.
