As my new Z nears the end of its first full tank, i was wondering what type of fuel should go in. I know that it says premium fuel only

As my new Z nears the end of its first full tank, i was wondering what type of fuel should go in. I know that it says premium fuel only but is that really necessary? I just put in 87 for all my other cars. So what kind of fuel does everyone else use? What brand to? I only use Shell (because i live right next to one)
