Definitely couldn't be that. Here's what I think happened:
The Scene: Z1 Motorsports, outside Atlanta Z1 Guy #1: I'm bored. Z1 Guy #2: As am I, my socialist brother. Pray tell, how shall we alleviate this ennui? #1: Let's go bone some dudes, bro! #2: Hmm.. Atlanta's HIV rate is worse than Zimbabwe's, so I'm going to give that a hard no. #1: Zimbabwe.. Zim-babe-wEE.. #2: ... Nevermind. Let's just send the OP the wrong axle so he can get cranky on that silly-*** forum. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

I have been buying from Z1 for a long time, I had issues, mostly delays due to their suppliers, and one time they sent me the wrong item, I returned it, and they covered the shipping.

I’ve dealt a lot with Z1... I think I have 9 or 10 parts from them? Anywho, I had one minor issue which they offered to fix. Wasn’t that big of a deal. I give them a 4.5/5

I've bought quite a bit from z1 and am about to order the brake upgrade kit as soon as I get a quote for switching to different pads... I have no problem with them personally.
However: If it went down the way OP said it did, then it's completely unacceptable for them not to cover return shipping. That's really not even debatable; you make a mistake, you own up to it and you fix it. Sorry if that's an unpopular opinion; I know some folks around here treat z1 like the second coming of Christ. I like them and I'll personally continue to order from them, but if this happened to me, it would be the last thing I order. Mistakes are fine, we are all human and we all make them. What is NOT fine is expecting someone else to pay for those mistakes #JustSayin |

Never had a bad experience with them before. However, the fact that they don't pay for return shipping when it's their fault is a ***ch move and enough for me not to buy stuff from them. Honestly, some vendors think they have a entire monopoly in the Z market lol.
Anyway, message them and tell them you posted this in the Z forum. Fight for your hard earned money and tell them to cover shipping. Here's a tip, don't email, call them, when you call it makes a world of difference. Don't just get negative off the bat, keep your cool, complement them then give them ***t.

I've bought a lot of stuff from Z1 over the years. Know Spence personally. Talk to him at every ZDayZ. The only problem I've had with them was when I tried to post a product review on the chitty Bell diff brace that I had to mod to get it to work. They won't post a bad review of a product that they sell.

It makes sense to filter out all the "lol this part sux" and "1-star because I'm mechanically incompetent" reviews, but if they're removing well-grounded reviews voicing a legitimate issue with an item, that's a disservice to the company and the customers. It would be better for their brand if they did away with the entire review function.

bought some stuffs from them before and those were fine transactions.
If you notice the company filter out 1-star review, then you might want to consider posting a review on Google. They cannot remove it but only reply to the reviews. Surely, I suggest your wordings to be polite and civilized. |

If you have exhaust like FI that are close to the diff. This brace won't fit unless you trim about 1 3/8" on the corner of the brace. The other problem is that the upper mounting hole does not line up with the hole in the sub-frame. It's off by a bolt hole diameter. They say to loosen the diff bolting up to the diff so that you can move the diff around and get the holes to line up. Problem is if you have a solid bushing like SPL. When tightening the diff bolting back down. This will put stress on the bolting that you don't need. If you have the stock rubber bushing. you might get away with it. The other thing that I noticed. There is weld beads on both sides of the bends of the brace. It looks like when bending the metal to shape. The metal cracked at the bends. So they welded over the cracks to hide them. They are usually pretty good. I bought my Oil Cooler and previous 350Z parts from them as well. I've only recently stopped ordering from them because ConceptZ's shipping is cheaper lol. Both are pretty good though. Speak with Spencer or something, they are normally really helpful.
