Do you think there may be an issue and if so, should the dealer know what to do ???

I appreciate any input as this is my first import sports car and I need to learn lots ...
You mean oil temps? Right?

When I first read this. I was wondering if you had installed a water temp gauge.

Since the OP has a 2019 with the factory heat exchanger. Those temps appear to be normal for where he is located at. If you see oil temps around 240. Then I would add an oil cooler. If you have plans on driving hard. GET a 34 row cooler from either FI or Z1.

I use Mobil 1 0w-40 Euro fake dino piss since I bought mine back in 2011.

No. The nannies will kick in long before the oil gets too hot. 370Zs run hot, so installing an oil cooler is a good idea but not really necessary for most DDs.

Most likely not. You might get lucky and someone there will know a little bit about cooling off a 370Z but don't bet your lunch money on it.

Any high-quality oil will do just fine - as long as you change it frequently. Mobil 1 is a high-quality oil, so it won't hurt. Plenty of threads on this site about oil.

Heat Exchanger is NOT an oil cooler.

The definition of a cooler is heat exchanger. The radiator, heater core, oil cooler, condenser, evaporator are all heat exchangers.

I switched from Mobil to Liqui Moly Molygen (the green oil) and my temps are way better. Also living in a climate similar to yours. My engine bay noise is much less right now. Never going back to Mobil.

Cool Oil temp & Mobil oil question

I want to thank everyone for replying. It really helps when people share there knowledge. I have owned many domestic performance cars including 3 Corvettes and a Z06 Vette, 67 GTO, 2006 GTO, 70 hemi cuda etc. This is my first import sports car and I love it. So I do some spirited driving and maybe I will take the car to the drag strip in the fall. From what Im hearing 220 to 230 degrees should be okay. Yes I will use Mobil 1 for my first oil change. Again thank all of you for your quick and informative responses.

Sincerely Hot Rod Z

FYI I'm about a 3 hrs. south of you in a '10 with the old coolant/oil setup. Ran 240* constantly on highway cruises in the summer. From what I've read in the past the temp gauge is also 30* colder than the peak oil temp in the engine due to the sensor location. In any event 240-270* is too high for my liking while cruising.

I went with a 25 row setrab with thermostatic plate. I had to cover 6 rows as I couldn't get temps over 160* during similar driving conditions! I typically see 180* now and haven't even sniffed 220* when pushing hard on the street. I run M1 5-20. The coolers can be had in the $250 range used, just make sure the engine didn't blow its guts into it as you'd contaminate your pristine engine with someone else's metal flakes.

Been doing research and honestly I don't use what you peasants use anymore. I use peanut oil, synthetic peanut oil from DEEZ NUTZ. Great stuff. But at $1000 a quart I doubt any of you can afford it, so don't bother. /s
