I feel like the z gets a lot of hate considering it is the only front engine rear wheel drive two seats sports car on the market other than the miata. I don't know that it is fair to compare it to a mustang or a camaro because they are so much larger. The z is definitely dated (interior especially). but for those of us that want an analog sports car there really isn't anything else unless you want the aenimic miata.

And this has nothing to do with his Nismo “review”. PS: I’m starting to think he “tested” the Auto is because he doesn’t know how to drive a manual. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Just saying... |

I know I said he lost me after not knowing the tire menu meant “rotating” not “replacing” but I started to wonder when he complained about a big analog tach in the middle. I really don’t think he knows how to read one, and is a waste of time! He’s right, you don’t need a tach for an automatic. They should put a small screen to play video games there! Seriously, the guy is a clown and I’d never watch another of his “reviews” again. If I want something bright and shiny to distract me, I’ll put up my Christmas Tree. |

The car needs a telescoping steering wheel also. My favorite aspect of the Z interior is the all-orange lighting. Amazing and perfect for a sports car. Best of any car I've had. |

Telescoping wheel would have been really nice... thought it was kind of an odd omission for a driver's car. Perhaps there is a downside to telescoping that I am not considering...

Agreed... that's the only complaint I have on the Z. No telescoping steering column.
Nissan's willingness to piss on the Z brand and neglect it so much is also irritating. But I have my Z so it's not something that affects me any longer.

FYI, he owns a Ford GT (the V8 one), so he knows how to drive manual.

just lol @ the hate he's getting here which is expected cuz this is a z forum. funny thing is if he were saying nothing but good things about the z, i bet he'd get no hate at all. yes he gets some things wrong but he's still pretty accurate about the weakness of the z.
my main gripe with the z is the interior and price NEW. but used these cars are cheap af so interior is all that i really care about in the end. edit: styling 6/10??? this is prob one of the best looking sports cars out there. Last edited by WHYCANTILOGIN; 05-29-2019 at 02:17 PM. |

The guy is mean but, unfortunately, he is mostly correct. It doesn't make any sense to buy a new Nismo Z for $46K. For that money, I will get a slightly used 4C, M2, or Cayman.

Nissan may not have done much with the Z over 10 years. But my Z is evolving to my liking.

I watch most of his reviews on YouTube and he is very honest and in your face reviews are good. The z is old but I do not want to be bothered with all the new tech, the z is one of last breed of a drivers car. I rather be seen in my z than a dime a dozen mustang, camaro or dodge.

If I want a review on the gadgets my car my has (or doesn’t have) I’ll watch one of his lame videos. Otherwise, I’ll stick to people that actually know what they’re talking about. |

Yes, the Z is dated, but look at, for example, the integra type r or the r34 skyline. Both of these cars are extremely dated and like dinosaurs compared to the 370Z, yet both cars are still popular and highly sought after, as well as keeping their values really well. The 370Z will always have an audience and market and people will pay a premium for them, even if a competitor may have something more powerful at the same/better price.
Btw, someone mentioned something about a Supra. Well, tbh, I’m not really impressed by it based on paper specs. Nothing against auto’s, but no manual option available, single-turbo and only puts out 335 hp at crank, and designed in conjunction with BMW platform. I will gladly take the 370Z over the Supra. Better yet, I will gladly take a 2002 Supra over a 2020 Supra.
