A $2,600 sticker

A STICKER, you are paying Two-thousand Six hundred dollars for a STICKER.

...let that sink in.

"The new 50th Anniversary Edition package will be a $2,600 option on the $33,820 370Z Sport model.
That means you'll have to fork over $36,420 to park a Z with a heritage sticker package in your garage."

Disgusting

Looks like a car a kid builds on Forza

Jayhovah 05-03-2019 10:14 AM

I wonder how much the sticker package costs from the parts counter.

BettyZ 05-03-2019 10:21 AM

Nissan could at least throw in a packet of lithium grease so you can lube your butthole up before making the purchase.

And no spoiler.

cooltoy 05-03-2019 10:28 AM

It would probably cost close to that to make it look like that should one be crazy enough to do that.

NorthStyle 05-03-2019 10:47 AM

The seats are different and it has the black/charcoal interior pieces similar to the Nismo (not sure if they are on all models though). Not worth $2K but more than JUST a sticker. I still think it's garbage either way.

You forgot the Autozone decal on the door. The one that actually says Autozone.

Firebase99 05-03-2019 02:24 PM

Jeezuz...Nissan really mailed this one in.

JARblue 05-03-2019 03:05 PM

At least it's more than one sticker :ugh2:

Nixin 05-03-2019 03:09 PM

Nissan couldn’t pay me enough to drive around with that cheap, fugly decal.

Sway 05-06-2019 11:36 AM

Uuuggghhhhhhhh

-ZS-Carpenter 05-06-2019 06:23 PM

Is it all stickers? Like is the roof and hatch wrapped or is that paint? It looked like 2 colors, lower one and roof/hatch another then the decals on the front fenders. Yea yea, it's a disgrace that the 40th is a nicer car and blah blah, Z35 blah blah vr30. But isn't most factrory 2 tone paint 1500-1800 anyway?

Stop making mountains out of mole hills and either enjoy what ya got or move on. That horse has been dead for a long long time

CRiZO 05-06-2019 06:33 PM

**** you and **** those stickers

Hope you're talking to Nissan!!

eek

MZ DAIZY 05-07-2019 10:23 AM

Yea, but mine isn’t the “official” Nissan sticker!

cv129 05-07-2019 10:55 AM

The sticker adds horsepower ya? Wonder what the Nismo Omori spec sticker will cost....

Lol

Latest Nissan press release stated that knockoff 50th stickers cause a 43 HP drop and void the powertrain warranty.

For real though, a Targa top option wouldn't have been that hard.

The Z Philes 05-07-2019 03:22 PM

Yeah, that's pretty hideous. I've never really been a fan of anniversary models, though the 40th was nice.

UNKNOWN_370 05-07-2019 03:47 PM

Are those akebonos? Maybe that's also it?

Edit:

Forget it. I just read you're supposed to add it to the sport pkg. So wack. Smh. At this point. U should get the sport pkg for 29,900 and the nismo for $36,000. The base models are obsolete. The stickers should add $1600. only cuz of the rims.

That's a nice car; it'd be a shame if somebody... put 50th Anniversary stickers on it :roflpuke2:

Bay Area Z 05-10-2019 09:21 PM

This probably comes from tight budgeting constraints. I seriously doubt the Z staff are content with this release. But they probably did the best they could with the extremely limited freedom they had.

The meeting probably went something like this:
"Alright team. It's the 50th anniversary of the Z. Let's celebrate with a commemorative edition! Ideas?"

(Various ideas are shared)

"Thank you for the input. I forgot to mention, the finance team graciously allocated $50 to make this special Z happen."

It's not the worst deal if you insist on a new Z, but don't want a Nismo.

For $2,600, your getting this:
19" x 9.0" front and 19" x 10.0" rear 50th Anniversary Edition forged alloy wheels by RAYS®
50th Anniversary Edition side marker decal
50th Anniversary Edition unique exterior graphics
50th Anniversary Edition exterior badging
50th Anniversary Edition tachometer
4-way power, 4-way manual adjustable driver's seat
4-way power adjustable passenger's seat
50th Anniversary Edition leather-appointed seats with synthetic suede inserts
50th Anniversary Edition unique interior stitching
50th Anniversary Edition interior badging
50th Anniversary Edition leather-wrapped shift knob
50th Anniversary Edition Alcantara®/Leather-wrapped steering wheel
Deletes Front Chin Aero Deflector and Rear Spoiler

JARblue 05-10-2019 09:57 PM

I noticed on the Nissan website that the 50th silver model is a 2 tone paint with brilliant silver metallic and magnetic black pearl. So I guess the hood, a-pillars, roof and hatch aren't a wrap after all.

I really want to check out that black pearl in person. It looks :yum:

It's $2600 in addition to the Sport model, which already has the Rays wheels. The money is for cosmetic stuff and the powered leather seats. Or, you can look at it as a Sport Touring model with stickers but minus the Navigation system.

Stitching more expensive than the ER's.

Why can't we get a F'n OIL COOLER instead of this garbage?!

Is it a liability issue with running the lines, so they don't want to offer one that actually works?

This is likely my last Nissan product, after watching SavageGese's video on the Q60 redsport and seeing the mickey mouse adhesive application + exposed wires on a $65k car = no thanks.

Nissan is just lazy/greedy/unimaginative and expects us to pay an additional $20k to get that VR30 turbo, when, as everyone has said here: should be in the Z.

I think the black and silver one is sharp. Not opening the checkbook sharp but if something happened to mine I wouldn't turn one down

Saw one at the dealership last Thursday while getting the first service on mine. I was pretty impressed.

The black and silver one is nice.... I'll give them $32k out the door for one. Cuz that's how much that relic is worth imho.

ltullos 07-01-2019 10:09 AM

Stopped by Courtesy Nissan the other day to pick some parts and they had the silver and black in the back of the showroom. I thought it was even uglier in person. I walked out confident that I got the last real upgrade with my white 2016 Nismo. Not only is it much better looking (opinion), the Recaros are awesome (fact).

Zyonara91 07-01-2019 05:11 PM

LMAO, this is what happens when you let Renault in on decisions.

ltullos 07-26-2019 12:07 PM

Nissan slashes jobs

And here's all you need to know about why we only got decals and any Z-35 rumors should be ignored. Wish it wasn't so, but can't see it changing, especially since this is only the first stage of the worldwide auto recession.
