I think it's a move in the right direction. The entire Z34 lineup needs to be discontinued.

I hope the Z doesnt go into hibernation for 15 years, then gets reincarnated as a Mercedes badged as a Nissan.

Yes, it is said but true that Nissan will not be producing the Roadster Z any more it does not make any sense since the Roadster Z is very popular a specially among Z enthusiasts. I am thankful that Nissan will be continuing to produce the Z model in 2020 thank you Nissan.

I just picked up a 2020 370z Sport Coupe yesterday.
A funny story behind ordering it, is that they ordered a roadster by mistake and had to place a second order for my car. They now have a 2020 roadster sitting on there lot. I spoke to the salesman and he confirmed the vin says it is "L" (2020). The article seems tp make it sound like they are not offering it for the 2020 model year. I can confirm without a doubt that they are. I saw it with my own eyes!
Also, they have it listed on the Canadian Nissan website.

I told the salesman he has quite the handy sales pitch available to him now!
"Buy the very last roadster version of the 370z. It is now a collectors item"

Hmm... I wonder if that Roadster was produced before the decision to cut it, and if they dropped it mid year? If so, then yeah that roadster will be a collector.

That is what I said to the salesman. Imagine having one of the only few 2020 Roadster produced "BY MISTAKE"?!!

Here is a pic of it next to my Z before PDI.

Not so sure about premium for last year. Will probably help in short term.

Z has had so few changes in the last few years that over time I doubt it will matter.

Not like they dropped a V8 in for the last year.

Car collectors 20 years from now will be looking for well maintained, low milage, original Roadsters.

I do not think year will matter that much.

I never liked the look of the roadster.
I traded my Z Saturday for a Mazda, a week after putting the Z1 CSC elimination kit into it after the 2nd clutch failure.

The Miata RF gts I got is an amazing machine. Not quite as fast as the Z, but there is something magic about this tiny car.
