What just happened?

Hey guys, about a month ago I made a thread about my car shaking while braking. I had said that I just got back my car from the body shop as it was in a front end collision. Anyways today I was leaving the grocery store and had just pulled away when PSHHH something blew and sounded like a crazy hissing sound. My car instantly shut off, but turned right back on. I made it home no problem, but I noticed the A/C didnt work. When I got home sure enough there was some coolant leaking. The bodyshop put in a new radiator a little over a month ago, did they maybe not tighten a hose down enough? Or what else do you think it was?

Sounds like your A/C just sprang a leak. It will be a yellowish Green color. Coolant should be blue if it still has the factory coolant.

Oh ok, yea it was a yellowish green color on top of my motor by the hood latch. It should be covered by warranty right, I have 31k on it.

Take it back to the body shop.

Definitely take it back to the shop.

Ok you think it was something they did instead of just something that randomly broke?

More than likely, at the very least since they just performed work on your car, they should look and tell you what’s wrong.

They missed something, or screwed something up.

Isn’t the condenser required to be changed along with the radiator for the Z?

Yes it is. It is one piece. They could have pinched an o-ring on one of the lines.

Speaking from personal experience, sounds like they pinched an o ring.
