Airbag replacement?
 

Today my dad sends me a letter that went to their house about my Z from Nissan about replacing the Takata front passenger air bag at no charge. It explicity says it is not a recall, but they'll remove and replace it free of charge, but it is time-limited.

Has anyone else received a letter like this?

Yeap, on other vehicles. Get it done.

Absolutely get it done. Those airbags are literal bombs waiting to go off.

thanks. wasn't sure if it was just a way to get me into the dealer, or an actual known issue.

Just a heads up, make sure they have it in stock before you go. Once you go there and they deem it needing to be replaced, you can’t leave with your car. It’s a safety hazard and liability for Nissan. My wife works at a Nissan/Infiniti dealership and they are months behind and owners are in rentals. The replacement bags can’t be made fast enough with how huge the recall is.

Hey guys, I just watched a donut episode where they mentioned this issue. I have a 370z which is surely affected by this issue. Any idea, if anyone knows whether this still applies? I'm in Europe, so if anyone has experience about it here, i'll be very grateful.
