Red Line?

I know theres a thread if not more about Red Line engine oil but I'm curious to know what benefits are there about this oil. Just wanna see if anyone in recent time have been using Red Line oil. Seen threads from 2011 but wanna see if anyone who have used it years ago found any issues in recently.

Chuck33079 03-27-2019 01:16 PM

Go do your oil reading at https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forum...s.php?ubb=cfrm . They actually have data. Here you'll just get a bunch of anecdotal evidence that really doesn't help anyone.

Falconquey 03-27-2019 01:18 PM

I hope this turns into a 'debate' thread about which oil is best. I

It will. Lots of people saying how great X Brand is, without so much as an oil analysis to back it up. That's why oil threads used to be insta-locked when we had mods here.

:bowrofl: Really? Do we need more of those? Ha ha!!!

gbrettin 03-27-2019 01:21 PM

Chuck did this thread a favor.

Falconquey 03-27-2019 01:26 PM

Here's a good comment to get things going: "I've always put used oil in all my cars and never had a problem...".

:ugh:

BettyZ 03-27-2019 02:20 PM

"I've used vegetable oil for years and my engine runs fine."

I use Mink oil. It is awesome.

zeeder 03-27-2019 03:55 PM

I find using coconut oil makes me feel like I'm driving in the tropics!

Jayhovah 03-27-2019 04:00 PM

I just run a mix seafoam and marvel mystery oil for both fuel and lubrication.

Sway 03-27-2019 04:18 PM

All you people are just too afraid to use oil like real mean. You get the thickest heaviest weighted oil you can get your bear paws on, then you drink that sh*t. While doing squats. With your girlfriend and/or wife thrown over your shoulders. Then you drink about 5 pints of the darkest beer and let that sit for about an hour while it mixes with and ferments with the oil. Then you piss in your engine, bam. Your engine is protected from becoming a little b*tch, runs like a man, and gains 30 horsepower to boot.

/thread.

Folks, the OP asked if anyone had had issues using Red Line. So, in that spirit: I once used Red Line as an intimate lubricant and I think it's fair to say that there were "issues."

That’s because it’s an internal not external lubricant.
Like I said, you have to drink it.

I'm on my phone, so I can't post my IBTL cat. :shakes head:

12v battery, jumper cables, a quart of motor oil, move all the furniture out from the center of the room. We're going to have a great time.

Rusty 03-27-2019 05:48 PM

Really, l use Castrol bean oil. Don't tell anyone, but you can make ricin from it.

Castrol Oil used to make a oil from the castor bean. Used it in my old dirt bikes.

We was just talking about this in another thread.:rofl2:

Leingod 03-27-2019 07:36 PM

I think mine either burns 5 quarts in a season or I have a crazy leak somewhere yet never notice oil pools. I compensate by pouring some rain water into the thing.

There is no debate, EVOO or nothing.

BettyZ 03-27-2019 09:56 PM

:roflpuke2: I've heard some stories...

Although one of the best ones was totally irrelevant. Literally the same quote... "tickling the Amal carb". Some guy piped up: my Uncle did that to me once  :wtf2: and then started cracking up after seeing everyone's reaction :bowrofl:

I went looking for the LZ version and stumbled across the Tool version. I was impressed. And the group name seemed to fit the occasion.

FPenvy 03-28-2019 08:51 AM

Me, I like to use the thicker squeezed dino piss from the gulf for oil with a European flavor.

BettyZ 03-28-2019 12:02 PM

Damn straight! None of that ghetto dead Alaskan dinosaur juice.
