Other insurance company accepted full liability for the accident. Took it to a dealer so they could get some pictures. Damages included below.

Passenger front fender
Passenger front wheel
Both DRL bumpers
Front bumper
Passenger side intake
Washer reservoir
Both headlights (drive side is cracked)
Front aluminum support bean
Front foam support
Passenger front wheel fender
Possible warp in passenger door
Paint damage to hood where headlight destroyed
Rubber removed from brand new tire

Also, anyone know what depreciation is on something like this? I had no accident prior and i’ll ask for diminished value.

Good luck. While parts may only be 5K, the labor will be probably another 2K or more. What happened, did the moron back into you?

As long as the airbags didn't deploy, it all looks fixable.

To determine diminished value, look at www.kbb.com, edmonds website, any place that you can look at to determine fair retail market value. Get several, add them together and divide by the number of places, that will get you a ball park figure. Then do the same thing again, but when they ask if there has been an accident, check 'yes'. The difference will be your diminished value.

A word of caution, if the insurance company accepts the claim for diminished value, that is usually added to the cost of repair. That could put the vehicle into the 'total' category as being too expensive to repair. If you are competent or know of someone who is competent with repairs of this type, if they are going to total it, buy it back and fix it yourself. It depends on if you are still making payments on a loan, that should be factored in the decision to buy back and fix it yourself. Personally, if they offer to total it and the car is paid for, take the money and get another Z. :twocents:

You dont need to be asking internets about this, take the car to dealer they will give you a quote to fix (parts and labor obviously), stop by the used car department and ask them to give an idea on depreciation value, that is it.

Here’s the accident video. I’d buy it back if they total it.

Mine looks almost exactly the same. Hit a freaking deer.

In the body shop now.

Repair cost just under $7k.

Fortunately you are ok though. I would recommend taking it to a Nissan dealership body shop or a reputable body shop you know of for the repairs. That body damage on your Z could be fixed that does not look too bad from the pictures you posted. As long as you repair it and there was no severe frame damage done you should be able to get close to full value for it. If your insurance company does actually total it buy it back from them and repair it yourself I definitely would. Depending on where the parts are bought you are looking at between 4K-5K in parts and probably close to 2K labor. Your Z is definitely worth repairing don’t listen to your insurance company.
