Imagine this. If I had a Civic and I just taunted a Porsche 911. He raced me and beat me badly. Then we both stopped at a light, then I said something to him. All he heard you said is "blah blah blah, my civic is better than your Porsche"

So he rolled down his window and flipped you off. Is he considered a douchebag?

In the end there is no reason to flip someone and tell them to f..off. You don't know which nut is in the car next you and why would you want to take a chance escalating something that is totally not worth it. Be sure and content in yourself and don't worry what other people do, there are just too many loonies out there to risk ones life.

You would understand if you moved to El Paso, or border Texas in general.

I keep mine between the seat and the center console. Now maybe I'm the only one but there have been occasions that people have started trying to get me to race, be a general pain or whatever and I've reported them to the police. I'm sorry but I don't need to be bothered by some punk trying to egg me on when I'm on my way somewhere.

Auto theft is pretty severe here, yes. It is imperative to get a good car alarm if you park outside. Also, just across the border there is a major drug war going on which has resulted so far in 2,600 deaths since last January, effectively making it the most violent city in the world. While the violence doesnt seem to have spilled completely over here, I never leave my apartment without a gun, better safe than sorry. I dont know if you've heard lately, but Americans have become quite popular for kidnapping/torture/executions in Mexico recently, you might want to rethink your vacation, haha. Its so bad, Military/Civilian personnel working at Bliss are strictly prohibited from entering the country.

Not Texas in general, but border towns have flared up recently because of the increased security/law enforcement along the rio grande. It's harder for coyotes to bring illegals across and harder for smugglers to bring drugs across.

If the wetback problem is that bad, I recommend the Sig P226. If it’s good enough for the Navy Seals, it should be good enough for Texas.

I keep mine on my hip, much quicker draw than the glove box. I was recently in heavy traffic, creeping along at 5mph, and the guy behind me stops, gets out of his car, and runs up to my window, and wanted to fight me because I left a 2 car gap between me and the car in front.....and that was preventing him from getting home.

I asked the guy if he was bullet proof, and he went back to his car...

Well to be honest, I tried carrying it in my crossbreed supertuck holster but the bucket seats make it bulge into my ribs, not very comfortable. It actually stays in the center console or wedged between the seat and the console. Hope I never have to use it, but I take full advantage of the right to!
