Anyone else see SOHO motorsports put down 378whp and 313wtq on STOCK airboxes?

Spooler 01-29-2019 08:37 AM

No details on it. No way it is a stock displacement engine. LOL I am beating it is a stroked 4 liter.

Is that all a 4L stroker would be worth? 8-14wtq? Mine made 299wtq, and then Saturday RZG had a car lay down 382whp/305wtq

edit: guess so, but I guess there's a fair amount of restriction w/ the factory airboxes, though I'd assume they at least have the K&N filters

All they said was that it was a built motor with stock compression on their Stage 2 heads but no mention of displacement or what the Stage 2 heads are comprised of. I'm pretty sure they're running E85 though.

Yes, it is on E85. That's about all I know, though. And I'm curious about the "stage 2" heads. I'd expect that to include cams, personally. Like 1 is a port/polish job and 2 being that plus cams or something, but that's obviously not the case.

Yeah it has to be something like that...They gave almost no detail on what they are running though, they claim to be using a stock cam.

I would assume though that it would be high displacement and E85 to get up to those numbers with the factory airbox and piping

They mentioned info would be released once it had been retuned w/ larger intakes. I'm seriously considering calling and seeing what info I can get. I've considered the 4L stroker off and on for a while, just not quite sure if it was worth it, either NA or boost. I wonder if they're not shooting for 400whp before they boost it.

That's Ben Blackwell's motor. They're breaking it in NA before they add the sc.

This is Ben Blackwell's motors that will be shooting for around 900 wheel with our air to air conversion and the YS7 blower from vortech. This motor does not have any upgraded cams, just our stage 2 heads with a lot of porting work, 96mm CP pistons and a Brian Crower stroker crank.

The overall displacement is around 3.99 L and we have kept the stock compression and we are going to shoot for around 420 wheel with larger intkes on this motor NA as we wait for the supercharger to get back to us.

Hopefully that answers any questions that you guys may have and you can always call or dm me if you have anymore :)

Will this car be at ZDayz? Would love to see how mine compares now that you and RZG have 1 upped me.

And 420 wheel NA is :yum: I would guess that would put your torque somewhere in the mid-320s.
