Default R2C Performance Product Review-beware

Dear 350/370z Owners. This is a post I've copied from GenCoupe.Com, original post can be found here :

I hope this in the right section, I know it doesn't apply to 350/370z owners. But as a 370z Nismo owner and being they sell products for our cars and the Genesis as well as others, I want people to be aware.

I purchased a new 2012 Gen Coupe 3,8 Track with the hopes to reequip my ride with what I had on my last Genesis 2011 Track. (mods in comments below) I was looking for a R2C intake and decided to call R2C directly. I spoke with Colin, the sales manager. This is back on September 2018, (27th). I placed an order for a new in-stock (he stated he verified) R2C intake for my Genesis for $199.00 shipped and taxed. This sounded like an amazing deal as I have bragged about the quality and how much I loved the style and tone. He said I would have it within 3-5 business days as it was coming from IL. I was cool with that and ordered. This is the beginning of my nightmare. As of today 1/28/2019 I have still not yet received my intake. I've given them every single excuse and benefit of the doubt in being polite, kind, and waiting for them to get it to me. I have multiple emails, text messages, and countless phone calls and voicemails I've left at their store phone number which they've changed since the original order. I've been told by Colin that the reasons for the delays have been as follows: They had a fitment issue their team found. They changed the company that was providing them some of the parts. They had the package lost at UPS, they had the in their shipping inventory warehouse and they forgot to send it out. They sent it out, but couldn't find a valid tracking number, the last most recent is that they had a large box at the local UPS store that never got scanned in and shipped out. (The last excuse was given to me back on or around Jan 14th 2019) I've tried so many times to reach out to them, requesting my receipt; been told via text's from Colin that they don't issue receipts until a shipping tracking number has been provided. I've been given a fake UPS number twice, both times I asked UPS to verify and they said they had no idea where that number came from. I was promised a refund back before Nov 24th 2018 to go back to my credit card. That refund has still never happened. They've stated that they switched credit machines, their accountant forgot, they had delays, they've been busy, snow storms, large orders from other companies causing delays in processing. They said he would send me a check, that never happened. Was told then that I would have a refund processed back to my Credit card on Dec 14th; that never happened. I finally got a hold of R2C after about 2 weeks of phone call attempts, and told by Colin again that I would have a paper check within a few days. X-mas passed, new years eve passed, nothing. He emailed me asking if I ever got the refund. I told him no, he said accounting would cancel the check and issue a new one. This still never happened. Finally on Jan 14th he said I would be receiving the intake and refund and apologized about all the delays by that Friday (the 18th) still nothing. Supposedly he has also spoken with the Senior management about this. I've asked for their names, phone numbers, etc. And he has yet to acknowledge that request. I've since spoken to a few vendors here, I won't name them out of respect, but they have also cut dealings with R2C performance directly due to also being stuck with orders they've paid for, and never received.

To help strengthen my concern; here is something I found two days ago; https://reviews.birdeye.com/r2c-perf...-llc-251945056

You will see the last year they've had 22 complaints, with a 1 out of 5 star issue with the VERY same exact issue.

My goal of this post is to provide accurate factual information and help people be careful of on-line transactions of their products. As they sell a wide range of products for multiple applications. Perhaps I have the worlds most unbelievable luck and every single thing they've stated is accurate for why nothing has happend.. just cant imagine for the life for me taking 4 to 5 months to get a intake.

I looked into them a while back after seeing pretty solid dyno result. After asking vendors if they actually have any, and every single one saying no, I said "I'll order when you actually have some in stock" and they've all taken R2C products off of their websites since. I actually don't know where you would be able to order them from. Even on R2C's website they don't actually offer the intake, just filters.

Yea.. its crazy. I spoke to one of their primary vendors for the Genesis group yesterday and they even confirmed that they dropped them due to the orders they put in that got "lost" and no refunds given to them as well. Their site is kinda weird to navigate thru, but upto Dec 20th they had Intakes supposedly in stock for 350 and 370z's cause my brother in-law was wanting to get one for his 350. I'm, thankful he didn't.
