I just saw the other guys thread about trading the Z for a Porsche...I just did that too! And for the same reasons, I guess. You only live once, so I traded in my 2017 Roadster (which I absolutely loved) and my 15 GT-R for a 2016 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. I tried to clear out some garage space and find a car that combined the best parts of both of those two, and I think I did. I only had the Z for a year, but it was a really great experience. It made me a little worried though when the dealer couldn't fix the roof hitting the cover when it opened. Anyway, I really like this forum and find myself coming back to it still...

Congratulations but not a excellent trade I would have kept the 2015 Nissan GTR and did some upgrades on it to each their own. Why did you sell your Z??

This is a trend I would not mind following, though I would lean more towards a Mclaren. Regardless of my personal take, you have got yourself a beautiful car there and I would not think twice about getting one like that.

You'll always be welcomed here. Enjoy the car and drive safe!

I dont think he cares enough to keep the gtr and spend some money on upgrades, hence why he bought a conv 911. The 911 will always be a better and faster car than the gtr. Specially the gt2 and 3 rs

Default Bucking the trend

I sold off a few cars I own to make room for the Tesla Roadster I ordered.
I kept my 2016 370Z roadster.I think The Z is a Classic.A little short on power but once car was gone through (engine, turbos, transmision, suspension)is a lot of fun to drive. You do not have to go to to that extreme. You can get a car a couple of years old with low miles at a cheap price for sports car. This gives you money to modify.

I have had a GT-R continuously since 2008...it was time to move on. Actually, the DCT on the GT-R really doesn't compare to the PDK in terms of overall drivability. I was really hesitant get another car without a manual because the GT-R tranny just started becoming annoying to drive, until I drove the Porsche. Simple things like being able to shift with the stick or the paddles, or the fact that you can leave it in auto but still shift with the paddles (and the car goes back to auto after a few seconds) make it easier to live with and just feels better. The Z went with it just to free up some garage space, so this car seemed to have the best attributes of both of those cars in one. The Z was pretty great though!

Does your Roadster hit the tonneau when you open the roof? Mine was in the shop three times over the year I had it to fix it, and then they just gave up. The paint was starting to chip and it really bothered me every time I heard that noise when I opened the roof, lol!

At this time top has no issue. They are a time bomb.
Have owned a lot of convertibles over the years and the top has been a problem on all of them.

it is irrelevant what you sold and bought. the most important thing is that YOU are happy. Materialistic stuffs come and go in life.

Congrat and enjoy....
