Dash lights

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys
I've researched the topic plenty but nothing definitive and I don't expect I'll necessarily find it here but thought I'd try.
I have these dashlights that come on intermittently and have not had a chance yet to take it in for an obd read. It happens totally randomly, fast or slow , dry or wet , in AT or manual....once I turn the car off and on again they go away

Have any of you had this and have a solution?
Also , will the error be logged even though it clears after a restart ?

Any info would be great.Attachment 133618

There is no way of knowing what’s wrong without the diagnostic codes.

If I was a betting man, I would say a problem with the ABS module. But again, you need the codes.

Will the codes be logged if i take it for diagnostic even once I've restarted the car and the lights are off ?

Depends. Some codes are stored until reset; some are not. If it's something important, such as ABS, it's usually stored.

Edit: There are two must-have sources of diagnostic and troubleshooting info: the Owner's Manual and the FSM. If you didn't get a print copy of the OM with your Z, you can download a PDF from NissanUSA's web site. You can find a link to a copy of the FSM (in PDF) in my sig.

I was having the same problem today. ABS/VDC/Skid yellow warning started showing while driving normal to church. I did notice they appeared 2x on left turns. My mechanic is on vacation who erases my codes. The 3rd start they never came back? very weird. Everybody always says check brake level. Nothing done but oil change about 4 weeks ago. Car was sitting for 2 days? I am following :ugh2:

I will take note , if i can , if the lights come on at turns...
I have booked the vehicle in so will give you feedback once I get anything

Fill the brake fluid reservoir to the top of the line. The system is very picky about the level and will throw codes and turn on lights when it is low and experiencing some Gs (accel, decel, turns, even a hard bump in the road).

Guys guys guys...if you're going to own a Z the first "mod" you should buy is a damn code reader to keep behind your seat. Since the Z is a finicky little bitch and likes to throw codes that ruin my morning. So I promptly read them, google them and erase them and pretend I never saw them. Haha jk sorta but after I installed my intake I was getting a service engine light for a while until it adjusted and it bothered the hell out of me. But yeahj driving to a mechanic to get a code erased when Autozone literally sells a $20 part that will do it in your own driveway is very...weird..

Hi
So i have fulled up the break fluid reservoir up to the top line (it was about half way) and so far so good....i really hope it was just that....will update if there is any need to.
Thanks everybody

Most likely your brake fluid level, mine was halfway between full and minimum and the lights would go on under hard acceleration (fluid splashing back and the system thinking its very low) topped it off and the lights never came back.
