What are you running, btw? A well driven 05-up GT should be good for mid thirteens.

So again as you stated.....the differences you were involved probably had more to do with the driver than by the cars at all. |

I've yet to race with any kind of weight reduction, seat removal, spare tire, etc, and havent deflated the tires any. I also havent raced with the HFC's and soon to be installed G3's, should be able to get the time down to 13.4/13.3 with cooler temps. And might I also add, for not having an LSD, she drifts like a champ.

Nice. Those GT drivers definitely need some work. The 05+ are much faster stock for stock than my 2003 was which I had a best stock time of 13.9 with. Most of the good drivers are in the mid 13s in stock form with those cars at 103-105ish. I'd be interested to know what your friend's 60 foots were as that typically is a good indication of whether or not they know what they are doing (especially compared to you if you are clicking off good 60's).

I think you guys should look at the times my 7 AT 370z sports is running. 12.8009. (elevation 560 ft) (1.97. 60 ft times.)
The time slips are posted in the " drag section ". the car is a stock moter, with stillen exhaust. Berk cats, stillen G3 intake and 4.08 gears. I now have the headers and under size crank pulley, It ran these times on the stock 19 inch factory tires. I now have 18 inch volk t-37's with 305 35 18 drag radials. 12.6;s coming soon. Now when i got to the track the car is lightned by removing the spare tire, front passenger seat, all tools and mats..With the wheels and brail battery the car has lost another 60lbs of weight. I can also tell you that as the moter gets hot the 370z slows down to 12.95 to 13.20. I have played with the ecu with my Cobb and it now has the revlimiter set at 8100. Its alot faster now as i wheel hop in first and second gear. I have made my own fuel map for the car but the timming can be adavance yet. RWHP with out the headers and pully is 292. In 'mm" the tranny shifts hard and fast. A member of our Z club as a 2006 mustang gt and it runs 13.5's to 13.6. It has some mods to it, intake and exhaust. Sam at GTM will have my SC ready for me by mid April, the car will also have a 2800 to 2900 torque converter in it. It should run 11.7's (GTR times). I have found that a lot of guys run there cars at the track all tricked out and tell you thats it bone stock. They run lower air presure in there tires and any thing else that they can think of including a flashed ecu. Its amasing how the guys who think that there cars are fast on the street have cardiac arrest when they get there time slips at the track. Much slower that times that are posted by the car magazines. I can not wait to get my new maps for the Cobb,. If any of the mustang guys want to run me N/A or with the SC please let me know. I look forward to the race at the track.

I too will be looking closely at the SCs coming out and hope I will be able to afford one. Im looking for more overall HP and TQ gain as a whole thur the whole RPM range on a consistent basis and not an overall HP/TQ peak number. Ive had turbos and not SCs before so Im not real familar with them, so what would be a good HP/TQ gain as a whole thru the RPM range? Again not looking for a peak gain but I guess an average gain that is ther all the time?

*EDIT*
Gah, lots of responses since I typed this - this is in response to Z eliminators post about his drag strip times. Im assuming your 60' times are 1.97...and not .97. That'd make a lot more sense. On the other hand, I cant help but ask...why do we need to look at your times? Anyone with experience knows what the car is "GOOD" to run with a decent driver (I won't touch the whole fact that AT's are easier to launch than the M6). The times you're running seem right on line with what they should be for someone with experience, especially with those big-*** DR's you're using. No surprise on the heat soak issues...thats any car that gets hot, but as we all know, the 370's particularly susceptible to it... I don't know, I guess I'm missing the purpose of the post lol.
