The GT is no slouch in anyway, but I am still not so confident in it's "improved" suspension setup.

The GT would beat the 370Z on anything bigger than than auto-x course. This car is quite insane.

Tsukuba - would be close between the two perhaps but have you looked @ seca? there are some serious 80 -> 110 sprints where we will loose a LOT of time to the stang. A roughly average speed of about 80 mph (for the track) will not help us at all... You are comparing different animals - what the stang looses in the turns it will MORE than make up for in the straights. |

I could see Tsukuba being close, but the GT will still win.
And yes, there'd be no chance for the Z at Laguna.

I don't know. The Z probably has its best chance at a course like Tsukuba. Would probably get blown out at Laguna Seca, though. And most likely owned anywhere with a nice, long straight. Oval courses are completely out lol.

Like I was saying before. A real road track... GT wins 99% of the time. Auto X... Z.

j/k Actually, now I'd really love to see a Nismo Z (or even sport package) take on a Stang GT (with similar sport trim/packages), and hash it out at Tsukuba! Because I don't think the Stang would win, at least not by a large margin. I think a Z stands a fighting chance. |

Not fair, though, since you have base brakes.

LOL.... I dont get why people get so up in arms about their car being the FASTEST EVER!!! Seriously - every year there will be a newer faster and better car in the market. The competition is what keeps the HP up as years go by.
I got my Z for one reason - driving experience - I mean yes she is fast and handles amazingly - but you have to be honest withyoursef and give credit where credit is due. The new stang is one bad MFer - honestly if I had an extra 30k lying around it would be spent on a stang. Ford has done AMAZING things in the last few years and I look forward to Nissan responding. Dont get me wrong - I will eventually SC my Z and make up for that difference - but that debate will go on for ever - what if he SC's his 2011 GT lol |

Well if you want to get an idea of a basic SC and suspension upgrade on the 5.0, look at the Shelby GT350 (don't actually LOOK at it because it's hideous, but check the numbers.) It uses Ford Racing's stage 1 blower (525hp) and does 0-60 in 3.7, 1/4 in 12.0 @ 122, and corners at 1.05G.
