It's always the first thing I do - then I de-badge it, although with the name 'Nissan' on the brake calipers I'll have an extra job this time - must say I deeply prefer 'Brembo'.

What level of tint are your windows? - standard + photoshop?

photoshop? lol. no, no photoshop. I have them tinted with 5%. No problems for me seeing out at night because its good tint, and I have never had a legal issue with them being so dark (so far, knock on wood). I have been pulled over a few times in my other cars with 5% and had no problems. I just like the windows dark.

Yep, mine pealed back a little on the drivers side front up by the mirror, I took an exacto and trimmed it off about a 1/4 inch or so, not noticeable.

I'm on the fence regarding the clear bra, the guys that tinted my windows showed me an example of a clear bra on a Camry. It looked ok. Post pics when you get yours done.

I have limo tint on the back window. It really helps, especially when the idiots with the trucks/suv's that stand 6 feet off the ground pull up 2 inches behind you. The strip on the windshield helps a great deal also.

That looks nice. Red with dark windows

You car is looking good Educ8r! I had the clear bra done on my IS350 and after they put it on the second time it looked fine, and it was a dark blue car. They had to put it one twice because they did a crappy job the first time and got hair and other junk underneath that you could see. These cars are so low to the ground they are going to eat rocks constantly!

For those of you in Cali, can I get away with getting <50% done as opposed to the legal 70%? 70% just seems like a waste of money :<

Also, is it true the tint films made of metallic will interfere with GPS, radio, etc? Someone mentioned I should go with ceramic films but those are expensive as f*ck.

It all depends on your luck, man. I'm in SoCal and all of my cars have got tinted. My first car had limo tint (5%) all the way around. My 2nd car had 35% on the front windows and 5% in the rear. My current car has 35% all the way around.

The reason I changed the percentage is because I kinda grew up for lack of better words. I thought it was cool to have limo tint so no one can see inside the car. The catch 22 is that it was extremely hard for me to drive at night in areas with low to no lighting.

I've never got pulled over in any of those cars for a tint ticket. But a friend of mine has, and his car has 35% all around.

I've never got ceramic tint, just the regular ones. I always go to the same shop and pay $140 for a coupe and $150 for a sedan. All 3 cars had either XM or Sirius radio and it never interfered with that. And my current car has GPS and it has never interfered with that as well.

I'm also thinking about a clear bra for the Z because driving on the 5 freeway behind numerous trucks suck really bad. Getting rocks and such flung at your car is not cool. But I'm still indecisive. I've read threads on other forums that they have had their clear bra yellow prematurely, even though I believe the 3M has a 5 year warranty.

I'll keep checking for other members who got theirs installed first.

I'd like to add that on my Evo, we had to install the XM transmitter ourselves to an aftermarket head unit and the antenna was placed on the rear deck, right by the rear windshield that had 5% tint. I've never had any issues getting signal.

Just my opinion, spend the money. Since having it now I will never spend my money on anything else.
