Default Dealership custom order wait times?

When I went to the dealer they said I would have to custom order one since they we're not getting any 7AT in. He said it could take from several weeks up to several months with a $500 deposit.

Could it really take several months? That seems a little excessive. For anyone who has ordered one, how long are you waiting for?

ehh...I think they're just making you hold out to try to take their inventory of their hands.

The old Z's had more customizable options I think. I'm only looking for a 7AT black 370Z with sport+touring. For some reason the automatics seem hard to find. I plan to special order it by the end of the month, I'm just hoping I won't have to wait too long :P

I was told 90 to 120 days for a custom order from two different dealerships in Western WA.

That's odd, I've been calling around the last few weeks (here in central NJ), and 3 out of 4 dealers have 7AT and no 6MT.

Same as in Vegas. There is only one 6MT in town out of the four dealerships here.

I'm assuming they located one for you and that's how long it would take to get it to the dealership?

According to the dealer I talked to, the dealer can get another car from another dealers by exchanging or purchasing. If there is none in the inventory, it will take about 5 to 6 weeks.

That's pretty much what my friend said, he used to work at a dealership.

Funny, at our dealership all they had we're two A/Ts with touring and no sport pkg. So now my dad will have to wait awhile until we can try out the manual before he can order his. Kinda sucks but I guess the distribution of cars was kinda random.
