2 more payments left

Not gonna lie, I strongly considered selling the old girl over the past 2 years. In November 2016 my wife and I sold our home, moved into an extended stay hotel until our apartment became available, then eventually ended up purchasing said apartment (actually a house divided into units), further delaying our move to the place we'll hopefully stay forever. In the meantime she's changed jobs and I've advanced to candidacy in my PhD program... obviously the car thing has been put on a back burner for the time being. But now that we're settled again I'm glad I've kept her (the car and also the wife) and I'm looking forward to doing some long overdue upgrades once that final payment is history.;)

Glad to have my car back and feel like part of the community again... even if it's just in time for winter storage.:roflpuke2:

I know what you mean and congrats!

I wish I didn't have to make that monthly payment anymore either, but I still have a few years to go. After that though, I'll be doing some naughty upgrades for my Z. For now, it's just little things here and there.

On the car, or the wife?

Would it be rude to ask how much your wife payment is?

cooltoy 11-14-2018 01:53 PM

And what are the planned upgrades? Before and after pictures would also be helpful.

Probably just the standard stuff. FI exhaust, Stillen gen 3s, test pipes, tune, maybe a diff bushing, 4:10s and nicer rotors... I thought about the whole FI thing and while it would be awesome I doubt it would actually make me enjoy the car that much more. Probably best spending $$ on track days if it comes to that.

I'd like to fabricate a tasteful rear diffuser and front splitter if I get the time though. I hate to change too much appearance-wise because the car looks damn near perfect as-is.

More than I can afford. And with no foreseeable payoff date.

Congrats, glad things are looking up for you. If you are in it for the long haul, a few years on the back buner is no big deal.

Congrats, paid mine off in July. It is a good feeling to not have that note over your head.
