You don't need to run the damn car. Quit checking oil while the engine is running or after it has been running.
Gotcha!

Again, exactly why I avoid dealerships.

I honestly don't blame you bud, I really don't. Lol. If I didn't know how to work on my own, I'd never in my life bring it to a dealer unless theres a recall. That's it.

Haha, hey when its my own, I become too paranoid and overthink any little noise or concern. It's always been a flaw lol. Like I have a Tomei Single Exit and the piping sits so low to the ******* ground so anytime I think I scraped it by going over a speed bump or anything, I'll lift the car up and inspect the exhaust maybe 50 times to make sure I didn't scratch it. Everyone tells me I'm too paranoid lol

So if you work on other people’s cars, you couldn’t give two sh*ts whether you thoroughly perform the job or not and accurately?

The oil capacity in the manual and your chart is based on an empty engine. When you drain the oil of your engine, you will not get 100% all of it out.

Checking your oil level twice a day is being "paranoid." That's not the problem.

Assuming you are actually a Nissan Tech with three years of experience, then ignorance is not the problem.

That doesn't leave a whole lot of options, bless your heart.

After reading your posts, I am curious what kind of work do you do exactly at Nissan.

It's not personal, but I would be afraid if you work on my car.

Also I checked the dipstick before I posted this thread after it sat over night and it was dead center on the dipstick but after I brought it to operating temp I immediately checked the level and it was a bit over LOW.

My 2011 held 5.3qts. & put it on the top dot....checked once a week.
Always checked cold in the morning; never seen a difference in the level from being warm...Also used extended life Mobil 1 5w/30.

I'm wondering the same, there's no way this guy does actual repairs right? Do they have separate staff just for oil changes and other simple stuff?

Lol its just my paranoia when it comes to my car. Driving down the road I hear a noise coming from underneath, I'm like hoooolllllld up, I pull over and inspect everything and it concludes that I ran over a pebble. smfh. I'm not one of those ******** at the dealership not caring for others vehicles. When it comes to mine? I'm just extra EXTRA careful.
