370Z Replacement lenses
 

370Z Replacement lenses may be in the works.
OEM spec and high quality UV resistant polycarbonate lenses for less than $400/set.
Production will take 4-6 months and will need at least 150-300 buyers.
Just looking to the groups/forums for interest to see if they are worth my company putting the money into for mass production.

There's no definite price yet so this is NOT a for sale ad. I'm waiting for an admin to message me back so we can get this out to the Z community!

*UPDATE*
I spoke with the R&D team this morning about it, should have some more information tomorrow, but they're going start sizing things up to figure out what the actual costs will look like.

I would definitely be interested, but $400 is a bit high for me.

We're waiting for the R&D team on a more definite price. We're hoping it will be less as well but that was the ballpark price of what they told me.

YOu'll be better off contacting headlight modders on FB, i can't imagine many regular folks would be interested.

150-300 buyers? We can barely get people to stick to group buys they said they're "definitely in"... I wouldn't count on that number happening, unfortunately.

Wow i really need this if price is right

I am a headlight modder. We currently have over 200 interested on both FB, IG, and between other Z light modders, we are currently looking at q2 2019 for production of both lenses AND the first high quality aftermarket headlight housing. Currently working on renders now and will be posting them up for feedback soon.

Interested. My 2012 model has 33k miles and is stored mostly in the garage. The lenses are getting foggy and scratched from going thru the car wash.

My 2014's still look new. It's all about simply hand washing + coat of wax once per month on the headlights.

Yep, probably the handwashing. I use the machine wash at the Shell station once in a while. It's probably scratching them. I think I'll try one of those lens restoration products.

Subbed. I bought 1 new head light because it turned yellow and I can't stand yellow lights.

Interested if the price can get better.

It sounds like you should make and stockpile a bunch of them. I just blacked out and restored mine myself, but it was a long process that I would not want to do again. I'd love to just buy new lenses... in a few years. These would sell themselves imo.

The user who was supposedly creating or organizing the creation of the lenses hasn't logged in since February... I'd say nothing ever came about with them but who knows.

Haven't heard anything from OP. 10 years of production of the 370z would mean plenty of yellowing lights. Not sure why a company hasn't jumped on it.
