Default Looking at a 2010 sport touring

I used to own an 09 sport touring about 4 years ago. I've recently been missing it something fierce so I've been looking.

Found a 2010 sport touring, garage kept, 49k miles, excellent condition, etc. Asking $15,900. Seems to be a good enough deal.
Anything that I should watch out for? I've read about the steering lock.

Thanks in advance.
Sincerely, Dave.

If it is a manual, the CSC valve. Get the vin # and have a Nissan Dealer run it for you to see if it has had any maintenance issues, or run a Carfax on it.

What years is oil consumption an issue? All years?

seems like a pretty good deal...

I personally prefer the touring/sport version.

I don't know if there were hard facts to support that the earlier models burn more oil than the later ones. I have an 2010 model and it doesn't burn or leak any oil. our 2009 g37s with over 100k miles that has the same motor doesn't burn or leak any oil also. we used M1 full synthetic for both.

other known issues are preventable.

I too have a 2010 roadster, touring/sport with about 75000 miles and have not experienced an oil consumption issue. It is very reliable fun drive.

I know that oil consumption for the 2009 and 2010 cars was not uncommon. I personally know 4 people who have had short block replacements due to excess oil use.

My first 370 was a 2010 and it used a quart every 1,000 miles. I was scheduled for a new block when someone solved the problem for me by t-boning me and destroying the car.

I have a 40th Anniversary (2010 with sport and touring packages) and have had zero issues with oil consumption, CMC, CSC, steering column lock, fuel starve, limp mode from hi oil temps, etc...A little over 30k miles and not babied. A bunch of track days and spirited driving are included in the miles mentioned.

I say go for it!!!!

I heard that even some 350z have oil consumption issues also.

I personally think it was just random defects that impacted some rather design issues that impact all.

Did Nissan change anything post the 2010 models to address the oil consumption issues?

FWIW - The owner said it's never used any oil.

From his ad:

If you're looking for a 370Z in great condition, then you should take a look at this one. This is one-owner car (I bought it Jan of 2010), garage-kept, non-smoker, dealer-maintained, very clean, and in excellent condition. I have all maintenance records on this car, all manuals in the original case, the original window sticker showing MSRP nearly $41,000, and both key fobs.

Though I am in my 60s and retired, I let her know she's a 370Z from time-to-time. Sounds great with the most popular after-market exhaust system for this car added--the Fast Intentions full stainless steel, true dual exhaust system added for a cost of $1,700. Also, this car has the Sport option, rev-matching, etc.

New tires in 2016 that have about 6,000 miles on them. Michelin Sport A/S.

When you check this car against KBB, you should look at the second highest rating. Also note, KBB doesn't figure in additional values such as OEM carpets front and rear, lighted door sills, professional window tint, and the chrome 370Z license frame this car has.

Oil changed about a month ago and as far as I know, this car has never dropped a single drop of oil on the garage floor.

For those interested, I'm only selling this car because I have ordered a new sports car. It has been the best car I've even owned--the only repair has been to put a new battery in it about 4 years ago.

It is in immaculate condition. He was very straight forward and seemed very honest. Pointed out all the "flaws" which were few and insignificant. It's in better shape than the 09 I sold 4 years ago. I feel I got a good deal.

Sincerely, Dave.
