2019 370z review
I agree with the review. This Z from a performance aspect is very much relevant. It's just a dinosaur in other areas... Th e Z is a great car that really needs evolutionary styling. Not revolutionary styling. A deeper trunk. And a modern infotainment center. Use the direct injection n transmission tricks for 370hp on the NA engine. Give the Nismo the red sport engine and dual clutch. Keep it right under 60k.

But it's important to have that option for the market. I hope nissan would keep a handbrake. As it keeps the fun up. But with the red sport engine. There's enough torque to drift. No a brake needed.

I honestly loved the raw feel. I totally respect the fact its not for 90% (or more) of the population but thats why there are less than 600 sales a year on avg in canada. The article nails it. The rate it low because on an average joe consumer basis it totally is not a car that would fall under the pratical category. |

I ended up trading in my silver Z for....another Z - a Nismo - my main regret was that I got the tech package which is severely limiting. Although if I can stream my music - I guess it's not that old but yeah, wish it had carplay or android play and I think it would be solid.
As for the 'raw' feeling of it - totally agree. when I get asked - i tell people it's balanced - not a stop light beater but definitely fun - especially when you find the right curves. |

I love the Z I have. It's raw, fast enough, good looking and rare in my parts!
I knew what I was getting, a little loud and a little bumpy, no disappointments |

I've had my Z for 7 years now. And no plans on getting rid of it. I don't put that many miles on it. But when I climb behind the wheel. I feel the need for a curvy road.

I miss my 11’ base/Touring that I had began modding to my likings.
Plan to get another in the near future. Love the tuneable chassis, huge wheel wells, high revving engine & coolness! Plus being 6’6” & still being comfortable for long road trips was a + Also pretty rare in SC,,,as multiple X more Camaros, stangs & goats. Just gonna add a couple of snails, to liven’ it up a bit...though with only 314whp,would go high 12’s in 1/4 & (pending on your sack size) pin the speedo. Not bad for 3600# including driver. Also you know what you’re getting & not climbing into a brand new platform...that could potentially have some bugs that need working out.

I won't lie, i recently thought about trading my Z in - I have only had for like 4mo (sad I know). I think the main reason - and all my friends told me this was....going from one car to the SAME car - it won't be different enough to justify making the payments and what not. Plus I have the mod bug....soooo....my thoughts were to go with something completely different:
A Tacoma TRD Off-road - they seem to be nicely priced and optioned out - plus never had a truck and to be honest, I wouldn't mod it - to me trucks are a point A to point B type of vehicle - only thing that truck will see offroad is a dirt road or a curb haha. The second car I considered was a Civic Type-R. Figured add a DP and a tune and it would be pushing more HP then my Z could produce going fbo (going FI isn't in the cards for my car - the cost is just too much). Plus having a backseat would be nice since the Z is my only car. The markup for it while is not what it was a year ago - I just won't pay a markup for a car, reminds me of when the Focus RS came out - it's like, 'uh, while it's a cool car - it's a Civic' In the end, I KNEW I would regret giving up my Z for any other car. I still think about my old G35 coupe that I had over 10years ago - that was a great car and my current Z - between the wrap and 'smoked' front lights - it gets a lot of looks (especially from me haha). Sooo...I'll probably look to add an exhaust, intake and HFC as well as a tune to get a little more HP out of it. Like everyone here - i wish Nissan would change some things but the driving experience and the handling - they can leave it as it is. And I still find myself looking back at my car when I walk away. |

pure sportscar experience
The 370Z provides the classic sportscar experience (engine in front, powered wheels in rear, manual transmission in the middle) at an insane value price point. It costs a fraction of a Porsche and can run with them from the factory. I wonder whether I will be able to find another similar sports car once I've driven the wheels off this one.
VDC off, fun ON. |
